Environmental policy of Verosol
Verosol has focused its environmental policy on the control and reduction of the negative effects on the environment as a result of its activities. The emphasis lies hereby on the control of the effects at source, such as the reduction of waste at the beginning of the production chain. Environmental aspects are continuously integrated into our operation, for instance through an Energy Efficiency Plan. Herein clear goals and measures are recorded as well as a reporting system ensuring the control of the daily routine. Verosol is making a maximum effort in order to have an as small as possible negative effect on its environment. In the past repeated improvements have been made which have lead to a reduction of the environmental burden caused by Verosol. For this reason Verosol has received an ISO 14001 certificate.
Waste reduction. Through improved screening the quality of applied materials is assessed at an early stage. Any possible anomalies can then be removed from the process before the materials are processed, which means that rejection of products is prevented.
Reduction of water usage. The efficient (re)use of water means that less water is used in the production of the window covering products.
Reduction of emissions. Verosol continuously works at the development of new and better products and production techniques. One of the elements playing a role in this is the reduction of emissions during the processing of raw materials.
Recycling of materials. In the development and production of window covering products Verosol pays specific attention to the possibility of recycling its products whenever this is possible.
Apart from controlling its own processes Verosol collaborates with other links in the production chain, such as suppliers of raw materials and the buyers and users of products. This collaboration leads to a structural improvement of the applied materials. This results for example in a reduction of the raw material requirements, an improvement of the recyclability of materials and an increased durability of the products. With this in mind Verosol participates in covenants, sector groups and working parties.
